GRADUATION DAY

TCV CHAUNTRA GRADUATION DAYThe day before the graduation there was a dinner party to the outgoing students. Pink and yellow and white chart filled with beautiful messages, brightly colored flower, delicious aroma of food and the cheerful faces of the present class X students welcomed the overly excited outgoing students and congratulated them on reaching the miles. The evening was overwhelming as there was dance, food, snacks and the lights of camera flashing every now and then.

We can tell without doubt that the students felt special and loved on that evening.

The final day has come for the students to say good bye. A very special day in the life of a student “ GRADUATION DAY” was celebrated on 29th march, 2018 in school Loter hall. The day when every emotions; sadness, happiness, prides, anxiety and excitement hustle bustle on the way. Sadness for having to depart with the closet thing they had for home, happiness for having passed the first step towards life, anxiety of not knowing what is waiting and then excitement for the new challenges in life.

But the day came and in the school hall everyone was gathered to congratulate and wish the outgoing students’ every success in their life. It was made more special with the presence of our chief guest Mr. Choenying Dhondup la, the general secretary of TCV School.

Our MC for the day Mr. Sonam Choephel la began the programme requesting everyone to start the Morning Prayer followed by principal’s heart-warming speech. Next we had scarf ceremony where every outgoing students were presented with scarf as a congratulatory gesture.

Then guest for the day gave a brief speech on how grateful the students should feel for getting this opportunity to be in the school and he wished every one of them success and hoping to see them in the same school.

TB DAY

TB remaining the world’s leading infectious killer, being responsible for the deaths of nearly 1.7 million people each year and representing the ninth leading cause of death globally. Therefore to campaign the awareness among people, on 24th march every year WORLD TB DAY is observed with different themes.

Our school is no exception, we also observed the TB day so as to bring mindfulness among the students and staff with the knowledge of

Tuberculosis symptom, prevention and precautions.



The day began with a presentation on TB by science teacher Mrs Tenzin Dolkar la, a member of school health committee where she detailed on how TB is spread, what are the symptoms, where should they be more alert and so on. She concluded with a short video clipping on TB related issues. Next they distributed a weight machine between two homes. The main purpose of distributing this machine is to measure the weight of the students or to check whether they are overweight or underweight.



On the 5th period there was an art and essay competition (optional) for the senior students. Cash prize was handed over to the top three winners for essay, poster and arts. In the essay competition first prize was begged by Kalsang Dolkar of class X D , second by Pema Choezom of class XS and third by Dechen Choekyi of class X S.



For the poster, we have first position  Gawa Dorjee XD , second Tenzin Wangpo and third position we have Tenzin Kunphel X D.



The information packed charts on the wall, video clipping  and beautiful presentation in the hall have surely install some information on the minds of these children.  The day ended with satisfaction filled heart.

Inter House Basketball Tournament

tcv chauntra basketball tournamentSpectacular opening ceremony of inter house basket ball tournament championship was held 0n 23rd March, 2018.

   Passion for basketball is evenvitable in T.C.V. School Chauntra. Not getting the opportunity is the issue always. Therefore this year the games committee has decided to make some changes and that is having league game.

  

The programme began with national anthem of Indian and Tibetan. Followed by a photo session and finally the team were ready to play.

   The first game was between Senior boys ( Songtsen house and Triral house) The crowd welcomed the team. Excitement and tension followed after wards. Teams ready to bounce on the ground. After much tension, team Songtsen won the match.

tcv chauntra Tibetan Uprising DayThe Commemorative event of 59th National Uprising Day began Saturday, morning at Sughabagh, Mela Ground, Chauntra, Mandi Distt.

The main program started at 8:30 am along with the members from three Settlements of Bir, Chauntra and Lilli, Government and non-government with national anthem, minutes of silence for solidarity to those selfless martyrs and concluded with reading of messages.

Parent’s Day Celebration

tcv chuantra parents day5th of March is observed as parent’s day in all T.C.V. Schools as a mark of love and respect in the memory of late Mrs Dickyi Tsering la a beloved mother of His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama of Tibet.

Day started with Morning Prayer followed by prize distributions.

It ended with some song and dance show.

Opening Function

Mr Ngodup Wangdhue la former Director of Upper Dharamsal, in the the school Loter hall.

The class VI to X students, parents, staff and teachers attended the function.

Mr Passang Tsering la, Principal of the school addressed the welcome speech.
