GRADUATION DAY (29thMarch to 30thMarch, 2019)

On the eve of 29^th March a dinner party was organized for the XI^th outgoing batch of Grade X. The school auditorium was filled with the students of class 10 (2018) for the farewell dinner party with the staff members. It was arranged by the new class ten (2019) by decorating the hall beautifully, by serving tea, snacks, foods and by entertaining them with songs, dances and with short and beautiful video clips which were captured in their tenure in the school. The outgoing students and the staff cherished those moments. It was a day for the outgoing students to share their emotions, sadness, happiness, pride, anxiety and excitements. They had both the feeling of happiness and sadness, Happy for the first step they are going to take in their life and sad that they are leaving the school.

The next day, they had their Graduation Day at Loter Hall. The guest of the occasion was one of the school alumni Dr. Kunchok Dorjee La. He presented a scarf for each and every outgoing students as a gesture to congratulate them. He provided a brief speech on how grateful the students should feel for getting these kind of opportunities to be in the school and he wished every one of them success and hoping to see them in the same school. The Graduation Day was one of the most memorable day for the XIth outgoing batch of T.C.V. Chauntra and the moment was captured in photos by clicking pictures of them with the Chief Guest and their subject teachers.

WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY ( 24th March, 2019 )

World Tuberculosis Day is observed on 24th March each year to bring awareness in public about this infectious disease and to put efforts to end and eliminate this deadly disease which kills millions of people every year. The theme of World TB Day 2019 is ‘It’s time.’ Our school also commemorated this day to raise awareness about this disease by organizing an essay writing and a drawing competition under the guidance of the health committee of our school. A friendly match between the school team and staff was arranged to highlight the importance of observing this day.

ZERO T.B. PROGRAMME ( 18th March – 25th March, 2019 )

A week long Zero T.B. programme was conducted in our school from 18th March to 25th March. On the first day during the morning assembly Dr. Kunchok Dorjee La and Dr. Sonam Topgyal La brought awareness among the students and the staff about Latent TB and Active TB. Under this program, the school children and the staff were screened- they were screened for TB symptoms such as cough, fever and night sweats, and were interviewed about TB exposure history.  Children and staff were given tuberculin skin testing to diagnose TB infection by measuring immune response. Those who showed TB symptoms were further diagnosed by sending them to get an x-ray  and laboratory testing done. This program was initiated  by the team of doctors and nurses from Delek Hospital, Dharamsala. The aim of this program is to eliminate TB disease in the school.

SPRING FETE ( 16th March, 2019 )

Spring fete is annually organized in our school by the school games committee to raise funds for the school. It is the most awaited event of the year for the students. Everyone in the school sighed with a relief and had a big smile on their faces as the day began with a warm sunshine. This year it was held at the school football ground on 16th March. The staff and the children both worked hand in hand in displaying the different stalls ranging from tasty food, exciting games and relishing refreshment.  It was a day filled with fun, laughter and enjoyment. The presence and support of the parents and the visitors made the day livelier and a memorable one.

WORKSHOP ON LIFESKILL AND LESSON PLAN (15th March, 2019)

On 15th March, 2019 all the senior staff of T.C.V.Chauntra are fortunate to have Mrs.Vijayam Kartha for her kind workshop based on life skill and lesson plan. This was so interesting that all the staff members were appreciating her way of teaching. She has demonstrated how to plan a lesson and explain about the cbse based life skill. Her work shop was very helpful and it could be applicable to all the students. Thank you mam for her heart touching advises.

Spring Fete 2019

Spring Fete is an event organized by Games Committee for generating fund. The four houses assign stalls to their respective staff members and students. Staff and the students put in their best effort for the entire day in making monetary gains. The fund gathered ultimately is spent on children overall development in various co-curricular activities.

NATIONAL UPRISING DAY (10thMarch, 2019)

10thMarch is observed as Tibetan National Uprising Day which commemorates the 1959 Tibetan uprising against the presence of the People’s Republic of China in Tibet.  It was the day when Chinese government entered and captured the capital of Tibet, Lhasa and the flight of the His.HolinessThe Dalai Lama into exile.

After 1959, every year thousands of Tibetan people and their supporters gather together to the street to mark the anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising Day and also to show that Tibet is not a part of China.

Tibetan schools in Mandi District gathered together at Sughbagh ground and had the  main function. After that senior students and staff members of Tibetan schools marched towards Baijnath by shouting slogans for free Tibet. Again a function was held there, everyone hoped for free Tibet and one day return to Tibet- our motherland.

PARENTS’DAY (5th March 2019)

5th March is celebrated as Parents’Day to pay homage to Gyalyum Chenmo. All the staff and the students above class VI  attended the function at the school auditorium. The staff and the school captains and prefects offered traditional scarves to the portrait of GyalyumChenmo to pay homage to her. Next, the school principal address the audience by giving a speech on the benevolence of GyayumChenmo la and by showing a short documentary film on GyalmoChenmo. The school Headmaster Gen Karma Tashi La concluded the function with his thank you notes. At the end of the programme, tea and snacks were served to all the parents and staff members.

SCHOOL OPENING CEREMONY ( 1st March, 2019 )

On 1st March, 2019 T.C.V. Chauntra observed the school opening ceremony with full enthusiasm and zeal. All the staff and the students from class 6 and above participated in that great event. The function started at 9 a.m. after the arrival of the chief guest Mr. Chime Dorjee La, the settlement officer of Dege Division Bir. The event began off with the singing of the Tibetan National Anthem. After that the new staff, the new house masters, the new committee chairpersons, the new captains and the new prefects were introduced and were offered scarf (Khatak) by the chief guest. Prize distribution was conducted to congratulate and felicitate the students in acedemics, cleanliness and good conduct. After the prize distribution the chief guest Mr. Chime Dorjee La addressed the students by emphasizing on two aspects, i.e hard work and consistency in becoming a successful student. The event ended with the acknowledgement note by the school Headmaster Mr. Karma Tashi La.
