20th,
August, 2018 was host as science day in TCV Chauntra. It was the day students
present their science model which was pre-planned two weeks back and it’s a
very special day to highlight the knowledge beyond book. The top model was
batched by “The Hydraulic City” made by school captain Gawa Dorjee la and his
team. This model composed of hydraulic bridge, elevator, and Hydraulic Rocket
launch.
The chief guest,
our school principal and Chauntra-Bir settlement local authorities were
welcomed and 4judges, including two science teachers from CST Chauntra and two
science background mathematics teachers of our school had observed and
critically analyze the model and given the marks. Nearby student’s parents also
participated in seeing their kids work.
The
program starts from morning 8:45am with the Head of Science Mr.TenzinDawa
delivery welcome talks and continued by Teachers talk on “What is Science and
How to study Science”. After the talk, Students watch some interesting science
concepts on TED Talk, followed by Students science model exhibition. By 2:00 pm,
students had watch the science-fi movie called “Time Machine”.
