On 30th August 2018, students and teachers of TCV School,
Chauntra gathered in the school auditorium and graciously witnessed one of the
most amazingly organized literary activities, 'My Favorite Character' for the
second time in the school but first time by the students of class VIII.
Most of the favorite characters of the participants are chosen from fairy tales and Disney animated movies, but some are also from their English textbook stories.
Master Tenzin Woeser and master Kunchok Dhargyal were the hosts for the contest and with a brief introduction of the contestants and their choice of favorite character, they gracefully welcomed all the contestants one after another on the beautifully decorated stage to enact the role of thier favorite character.
Each of them successfuly rocked the stage and made everyone feel proud to be part of the contest.They not only did justice to the character of their choice but they were successful in keeping the flame on the stage blaze till the end, and the auditorium was filled with the never ending loud round of aplause ever echoed.
The honorable school principal, the chief guest of the contest was called upon to appreciate the participants and to honor the winners by the end of the contest. The third position was bagged by master Tenzin Chosphel and his favorite character was 'Sid' the sloth from the animated movie called Ice Age, master Penpa Norbu was chosen as second position and his favorite character was Mark Antony from the story Julius Ceaser written by the great Shakespeare, and the winner of the contest was miss Pema Dolma Jamsempa of class VIII S and she played the role of the Evil Queen from the fairy tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwafs.
Lastly, the two hosts once again stood under the spotlight and gave a perfect conclusion with some kind words thanking all those who shared their helping hand in making the event more eventful and a grand success.
