Falun Dafa or Falun Gong is an advanced practice of Buddha
school self-cultivation, founded by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the practice’s master. It
is a discipline in which “assimilation to the highest qualities of the universe
– Zhen, Shan, Ren meaning Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance (Tolerance)
– is the foundation of practice. It is a practice to train our mind, body and
soul.
Ms. Chris, a practitioner of Falun Dafa came to our school
to introduce the ‘FALUN DAFA’. She told us that it is practiced by many people
in the world and this practice was specifically banned in China by the Chinese
government. She narrated a bit of its history how it came into existence and
how the Chinese government persecuted those who practice Falun Dafa in China.
She even taught fine basic exercises of Falun Dafa almost to the whole school.
Around more than 800 students and 50 teachers took part in the three sessions
she took in a day. It was indeed a new venture for everyone.
