BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT (8th March to 2nd April, 2019)

A basketball  practice and tournament was organized by the games committee from 8^th March to 2^nd April. Students were categorized into four divisions i.e. Girls Open, Junior Boys, Inter Boys and Senior Boys. Students belonging to all the four houses practiced and played under the training and coaching of their house masters and mistresses.

During the basketball tournament, spectators cheered for their houses and the basketball players played with full enthusiasm and zeal

The final match was played on 2^ndApril, 2019 at the basket ground. It was decorated well with colorful house flags to symbolize the respective houses. Staff and students gathered at the  basket ground to witness the winner for the final match and the prize distribution. Every one witnessed good sportsmanship and team spirit and the participants learned that participation is more important than winning or losing.

Inter House Basketball Tournament

Spectacular opening ceremony of inter house basket ball tournament championship was held 0n 23rd March, 2018.

   Passion for basketball is evenvitable in T.C.V. School Chauntra. Not getting the opportunity is the issue always. Therefore this year the games committee has decided to make some changes and that is having league game.

  

The programme began with national anthem of Indian and Tibetan. Followed by a photo session and finally the team were ready to play.

   The first game was between Senior boys ( Songtsen house and Triral house) The crowd welcomed the team. Excitement and tension followed after wards. Teams ready to bounce on the ground. After much tension, team Songtsen won the match.

Inter House Basketball Tournament

A basketball tournament was played among the four houses of the school. Students are put under two categories senior and inter division for both boys and girls. After having a month long practice the matches were played result turned out like this as given below

BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT

After prolonged learning basket ball .We had house wise final competition. This year we played knockout team with open. At last only 12 students got an opportunity to participate in real competition. Final competition was held on 23rd June, 2016 between Triral house with Trisong for the open Girls and Triral House with Songtsen with open Boys. First position of the Boys was Songtsen House and the Girls were Triral House. Overall, First position was begged by Triral House.

Inter House Basketball Tournament

On 23rd May the school basket court was packed with spectators mostly students cheering up their houses. The colorful banners were hung up on the walls and a perfect scene was set up for the perfect match between two of the best teams; final match between senior boys Songtsen House verses Ngyatri House.

That was a tough match and the whole atmosphere was filled with roaring noises from every corner of the ground. The Spectators gathered to witness that match had great fun and excitement and the match was worth watching.

The time went swiftly and the finale whistle was blown making the team yellow the real heroes by winning the finale match leaving their opponent at far behind. But the over house result of this year’s Inter House Basket Tournament is as follow:

Inter House Basketball Tournament

The practice sessions for the inter house basket tournament was started on 1st March and continued till 14th April. The whole TCV School Chauntra staff and students witnessed the Inter House Basketball tournament final match on 14th April, 2014. The senior boy’s division final match was played between Nyatri House and Songtsen House and Songtsen house won the match by one point at the last few seconds. Where as senior girl’s division final match was played Triral verses Trisong House and Triral House won the match by two baskets.This year’s overall winner of the Inter House Basketball tournament was backed unanimously by Nyatri House winning first position in the following divisions: Junior boys, Inter girls and Inter boys.
