‘Mani Tsendon’ means the overnight chanting of the
six-syllable mantra OM MANI PADME HUM which is the mantra of Compassion Buddha
which completely purifies the four defeats of breaking the four vows of
self-liberation and the five uninterrupted negative karmas. In short this is
the essence of all Dharma that’s the purest Dharma.
This program is organized by the school’s
Cultural Committee which is led by the Assistant Headmaster with the religious
teacher and the two music teachers of the school. All the staff and the
students above class 6 participated in the program in three shifts – 7 p.m.
to 12 midnight, 12 midnight to 3 a.m. and 3 a.m. to 6 in the morning. The
expense for this is mostly dependent on the donation given by the staff and the
students because we consider such rituals important to eliminate the evil and
remove the obstacles shadowing the school. This also helps in bringing good
health and prosperity in the community free from any kind of hindrances
