TB remaining the world’s leading infectious killer, being responsible for the deaths of nearly 1.7 million people each year and representing the ninth leading cause of death globally. Therefore to campaign the awareness among people, on 24th march every year WORLD TB DAY is observed with different themes.

Our school is no exception, we also observed the TB day so as to bring mindfulness among the students and staff with the knowledge of

Tuberculosis symptom, prevention and precautions.

The day began with a presentation on TB by science teacher Mrs Tenzin Dolkar la, a member of school health committee where she detailed on how TB is spread, what are the symptoms, where should they be more alert and so on. She concluded with a short video clipping on TB related issues. Next they distributed a weight machine between two homes. The main purpose of distributing this machine is to measure the weight of the students or to check whether they are overweight or underweight.

On the 5th period there was an art and essay competition (optional) for the senior students. Cash prize was handed over to the top three winners for essay, poster and arts. In the essay competition first prize was begged by Kalsang Dolkar of class X D , second by Pema Choezom of class XS and third by Dechen Choekyi of class X S.
