Saka Dawa is the most sacred Buddhist festival. It falls
on the fourth month in the Tibetan Lunar calendar. This is the month to earn
merits as it is believed that one merits is equal to one hundred thousand
times. Monasteries
were flocked around by people to pray and recite scriptures. It
is the month where every Buddhist gets engrossed in the spiritual atmosphere.

Likewise in our school on 22nd may to 23
may we have KAGYUR READING? Every students and teachers participate in the
reading. Every year we have the reading
in the class but this year we saw some difference. Reading the scripture is
same but the place was different.
This year the KAGYUR Reading was held in the school
Loter hall. There was a feel of spiritual
atmosphere in the whole school. The
stage was decked with Thanga, butter lamp; colorful tables etc. to get ready us
all ready to read the scripture. In the
classes we can hear junior classes reciting the prayer and then at homes we can
hear small children reciting mantra OM MANI PAD ME HUN.
Tea and snacks were distributed in abundant to the
whole school. Everyone felt blessed on those special days. Keep on earning
