TCV Chauntra
Kagyur Reading in progress.
Saka Dawa is the most sacred Buddhist festival. It falls on the fourth month in the Tibetan Lunar calendar. This is the month to earn merits as it is believed that one merits is equal to one hundred thousand times. Monasteries were flocked around by people to pray and recite scriptures. It is the month where every Buddhist gets engrossed in the spiritual atmosphere.

Likewise in our school on 22nd may to 23 may we have KAGYUR READING? Every students and teachers participate in the reading.  Every year we have the reading in the class but this year we saw some difference. Reading the scripture is same but the place was different.
This year the KAGYUR Reading was held in the school Loter hall.  There was a feel of spiritual atmosphere in the whole school.  The stage was decked with Thanga, butter lamp; colorful tables etc. to get ready us all ready to read the scripture.  In the classes we can hear junior classes reciting the prayer and then at homes we can hear small children reciting mantra OM MANI PAD ME HUN.
Tea and snacks were distributed in abundant to the whole school. Everyone felt blessed on those special days. Keep on earning merits!!!!!! God Bless
