On 26th June, T.C.V. Chauntra observed ‘International Day Against Drug and Illicit Trafficking’. The awareness program comprised of presentation on ill effects of drugs on one’s physical, mental health as well as some tips to deal with day to day life challenge in more productive ways. It was followed by two short videos on Kunphen ( Rehabilitation Centre, former addict sharing their life journey as addict to being completely sober) as well as a video on how drugs has impacted many lives with clear image displayed on screen about various health issues suffered in one’s later life due to the consumption of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes.
At last the program was enclosed with a short skit by the students reflecting on how we as individuals fall prey to such awful act because of social status and it encompasses the importance of saying NO to drugs to have a meaningful life.
